While it seems like a simple process, it is actually more complicated than one may think. The rainbow crosswalk in Atlanta that can be found at the intersection of 10th and Piedmont is causing some eyebrows to be raised.
The symbolism and what it stands for is amazing that is not the issue at hand, the cost is.
"It's approximately $198,000, is comfortable, we certainly can afford it do it , here's overwhelming support within the Atlanta City Council to do it" said Mayor Reed.
Others in the community while they love the gesture feel that, those kind of financial resources could be used to actually fix the potholes and other maintenance issues the streets of Atlanta so desperately needs.
