First I would like to say that I cannot wait until this movie comes out! I think this will be the best Spider-Man yet! With that being said, according to wiki these are his original powers:
Genius-level intellect, superhuman strength, speed, and agility, ability to cling to most surfaces, precognitive spider-sense and utilizes web-shooters to shoot strong spider-web strings from wrists.
Back in the day when Peter Parker first became Spider-Man, there was no "Siri" there was no "IPhone" but the times changed. We don't still carry around those block bulky mobile phones or old school Nokia phones so why can't Peter Parkers suit get an upgrade?
Apparently this has torn a fan base in half!
Watching the trailer to this new movie I think the new 'tech' will add an extra flair! I am super excited and can't wait!
