Lonely Planet's 2022 Guide Names Atlanta One of the Top Travel Cities!

A lot of folks have probably started making their 2022 travel plans, and Lonely Planet is here to help, especially if you’re looking for a hot and exciting must-see destination to go to. 

  • The travel company has come out with their Best in Travel 2022 list, featuring the Top 10 Countries, Cities and Regions to travel to this year.
  • Topping the list of countries is the South Pacific nation of the Cook Islands, where authentic Polynesian traditions pair with a bold approach to sustainability.
  • For Cities, Auckland, New Zealand tops the list, with the only U.S. city making the Top 10 being Atlanta at four.
  • The top Region to visit is Westfjords, Iceland, which is famous for its remote, scenic spots, with West Virginia landing at two.
