Here’s a case of a roommate going way overboard to interfere in the love life of her housemate. From “Catfish UK,” comes the story of Mario. Mario’s originally from the U.S., but moved to the UK, and eventually shared a house with Courtney. Though they’d been “business partners” and were once had a “friends with benefits” thing going on, there was nothing more to the relationship.
For about eight months, Mario found himself involved in an online relationship with “Hannah.” He admits the spark with Hannah was a quick one, and soon found himself chatting online with her on a daily basis. However, when it came to upping the ante by talking on the phone, there was always some excuse as to why it couldn’t happen. That went for face-to-face meetups, as well, which led Mario to contact the “Catfish UK” team, who he hoped could help him get to the bottom of what was going on.
Firstly, the discovered the picture Hannah was using was actually of a woman who lived in New Zealand and had no idea her pic was being used. That news left Mario feeling “foolish,” and wonder what person had so little to do that they had the time to waste his. Eventually, “Hannah” reached out to Mario and said that “Catfish UK” had contacted her, and she was willing to meet him if he could “promise she wouldn’t lose” him. It turns out Courtney had a serious thing for Mario and wanted to “see what it would be like” to be his girlfriend because she was “desperately in love with him.” Months later, the two are still friends and back to living together, but Mario’s got no interest in a relationship with her ...
