These Are The Best and Worst States To Retire!

As we previously told you, earlier this year WalletHub named Florida as the best state to retire in. Well, a new report by Bankrate has some other thoughts.

  • The site just came out with their picks for the best states to retire.
  • They judged states on several categories including affordability, wellness, culture, weather and crime.
  • With all that in mind, Bankrate picks Georgia as the best state to retire in, thanks to affordability, with the state having a low cost of living and low taxes. Good weather was also a factor.

  • On the flipside, Maryland was named the worst state to retire due to a lack of affordability and middle of the road scores for culture and weather.
