Two People Got Kicked Off a Plane for Fighting Over an Armrest?

A flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas had to turn around on the tarmac the other day . . . because two guys got into a physical fight over an ARMREST. It doesn't sound like they got arrested, and neither of them wants to press charges. But they both missed their flight because of it.

So what ARE the rules for armrests on a plane? Well, someone posted some guidelines they think everyone should follow. Or really, just one rule: The person in the middle seat should always get BOTH armrests.

They broke it down by looking at the pros and cons of each seat . . .

1. The window seat. PROS: A nice view, and there's a wall to lean on. CONS: You're trapped and have to ask two people to move if you need to use the bathroom.

2. The aisle seat. PROS: A little more leg room, and you're free to get up whenever you want. CONS: You have to get up to let two other people use the bathroom.

3. The middle seat. PROS: None. CONS: It's cramped, you have to move for the person by the window, AND you have to ask someone to move if you need to get up.

In other words, the center seat has lots of cons and no pros. So getting both armrests should be the ONE benefit of sitting in the middle.
