While a lot of us welcome the warm weather, one thing that we don’t love so much are the mosquitoes that come with it. Those pesky bites are bound to ruin even the perfect day, and in some parts of the country they can be a much bigger problem than in others.
- Orkin has just released their annual Top 50 Mosquitoes Cities List, based on the number of mosquito customers served from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021.
- There’s a new leader this year, with Los Angeles topping the list, beating out Atlanta, which has been number one for the past seven years.
- This year’s Top 50 contains three new cities, all in the West Coast - Seattle, San Diego and Fresno
- Mosquito breeding season can start as early as May, and last through December.
- They are most likely to bite between dusk and dawn.
