We all get older. It’s how you look at it that makes the difference. A survey by Foster Grant took a deep dive into when we feel old and when we don’t. The group asked were 40 years old and up.
Here’s when we feel young:
- When looking in the mirror, because we see our younger selves
- Anytime, because we feel seven years younger than our actual age, on average
- When we refuse to admit we’re aging
We actually feel younger than we are by far (77-percent) every day.
Here’s when we feel old:
- When hearing a familiar song on an “oldies” station
- Seeing a celeb we’ve never heard of
- Grunting when we get up
- Squinting at small print
We’ll all get over that negative feeling at age 47, according to the poll. That’s when we embrace the process. Until then, you’’ve got your young you to enjoy in the mirror!
