BILL GATES GIFTS MELINDA $1.8B ON DAY OF DIVORCE FILING
If you were expecting a lot of drama from Bill and Melinda Gates’ divorce because there’s no prenup, think again. As I told you, she filed the paperwork and asked for the marriage to be considered over on the date listed in the separation contract.
Another clue? Bill gave Melinda almost $2 billion in stocks on the day she filed. Apparently his investment firm, Cascade Investment LLC, sent her more than 14 million shares of Canadian National Railway Co. and more than 2-point-9 million shares of AutoNation Inc. Based on yesterday’s stock prices, the shares are worth more than $1-point-8 billion. That sum also includes about $1-point-53 billion in Canadian National Railway shares and about $310 million in AutoNation shares.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Gates divide their assets. We’ll keep you posted…

KATE HUDSON'S FABLETICS SUSPENDS OPERATIONS AMID ABUSE CLAIMS
Kate Hudson’s athleisure brand Fabletics is in some hot water. The athleisure brand has suspended operations with garment factory Hippo Knitting amid ongoing abuse allegations.
In an explosive report by“TIME” magazine, at least 38 workers come forward saying sexual and physical abuse is rampant at the factory, which is based in Lesotho’s capital of Maseru in South Africa. Some female workers claim they’ve been pressured into sexual relationships with their supervisors, while others claim they’re “often humiliated and verbally abused by management.”
In a statement, Fabletics calls the allegations “absolutely horrifying,” saying they “immediately” halted operations with Hippo Knitting and launched an investigation upon seeing the report. "Fabletics' commitment to the people of this region remains resolute,” the statement reads. “And we're paying these workers their full wages while we investigate."Check out the full statement below.

KIM KARDASHIAN DENIES BUYING LOOTED ANCIENT STATUE
Yesterday I told youthat federal agents want to seize an ancient sculpture Kim Kardashian allegedly bought a few years back. The ancient Roman sculpture in question was illegally smuggled out of Italy.
Thing is? Kardashian says she’s got nothing to do with it. As in, while her name was attached to the purchase and the manifest, she didn’t do it – and in fact, the news reports were “the first that she has learned of its existence.”
As we explained yesterday, the case dates to 2016 – and officials have never suggested she actually did have a hand in either the purchase or the smuggling. According to her reps, she’s happy to have investigators dig as deeply as needed. “We believe it may have been purchased using her name without authorization and because it was never received,” a statement reads. “She was unaware of the transaction. We encourage an investigation and hope that it gets returned to the rightful owners.”
