A guy on Reddit has told a horrific tale of why you need to be careful if you’re thinking you want to ghost someone. Which, you shouldn't think or do it at all and here is a great example WHY.
It all started with a match on Tinder, and then makes a sharp turn at a guy who asked for advice and didn’t take it.
Here’s what went down ... in 'Cliff Notes' terms:
- The girl was a couple years older than him, and he thought it was worth getting to know her. During their first date, he admits feeling some “intense vibes” coming from her direction, but he was willing to blame it on “lockdown” and see her again. Bro.
- It was during the second date when things got interesting. He went over to her place, and was given the grand tour (WAIT FOR IT) which ended with a room that was dedicated entirely to her love for the Spice Girls. YES. Really. We’re talking grade A memorabilia, personal items...the works.
- Of course, none of that “Wannabe” stuff scared him off from having a tasty scallop dinner, some Negroni’s, and well - sex. He still wasn’t feeling it. I hate this dude.
- In between, he hit up Reddit to ask “is ghosting ever okay?” Redditors replied that letting her down was really the right thing to do...he ‘disappeared’ anyway. Typical.
- The ghosting came to jarring end, however, when five days later, her DAD was at his door threatening to stab him unless the OPunghosted his baby girl.
Now the cops are involved.
So, the moral of the story? You never know the nutbag you’re gonna get...so at least be cool and be honest (preferably in a nice way).
