Big news millennials. This may finally be the decade all of our friends move out of their parent’s house!
Even though some recent studies say we’re "dramatically worse off" than older generations at our age, at least one expert is saying the new roaring 20s are our time to shine!
Jason Dorsey researches millennials as president of the Center for Generational Kinetics and thinks the next ten years will give us a “more solid financial foundation” and gave the following reason why:
- Less student loan debt.
- Inheritance from wealthy boomers.
- Being single is losing its cuteness so more of us are settling into dual-income households and actually some actual house-holds.
- We have to get a raise at some point in the next ten years. That sounds like something that should happen.
Since we’ve got a rich history of economic forces beyond our control giving the short end of the stick, it wouldn’t be surprising if you’re heading into this decade feeling less than optimistic. But it’s still nice to hear an expert still has hope for us.
