We’re right in the middle of Movember, and just starting the Holiday Season, but did you know we’re also in “cuffing season?” It’s the sweet spot between fall and winter where singles are thirsty and looking to get booed up more than ever.
Dating and relationship expert Sami Wunder says the human desire for love increases in the winter and that can mean some issues for many singles out there looking for something serious. But how can you tell if someone is just looking for a little warmth just for the winter or if it’s something real?
Look for these Cuffing Season red flags:
- Too Much Holiday Spirit? If your new boo keeps on bringing up wanting to bring someone to family dinner or buy gifts for, it’s a pretty good sign they just want someone for the short term.
- Locking it down too fast. Someone looking for a winter bae will try to escalate things quickly to make things feel “real” before it should.
Bringing someone to your family’s White Elephant is serious business. Don’t jump into things just because of holiday pressures. If you’re just starting things, share a small holiday together as a couple, and save the big Christmas get-togethers for next year!
