Cuffing Season Could Be Fun, Right

Summer flings get the hype, but cuffing season is coming soon and there are a lot of things to love about it. It’s that time of year when the weather cools off and people find themselves wanting to couple up temporarily, generally from around October until March, the unofficial start to breakup season. Cuffing gives you someone to snuggle up to, without the hassle and attachment of a typical relationship and these are some of the benefits of having an on-call seasonal S.O.

  • Fall dates are the perfect backdrop for Instagram photos- Bring on the cheesy shots of apple picking and pumpkin patches.
  • You’ll be ready when your family comes at you with relationship questions- You’ll have a response when your nosey aunt asks if you’re dating anyone and because you’re not serious with your cuffing season someone, it’ll be easier to brush off any unsolicited comments.
  • Not into sharing your feelings? Cuffing is ideal for you- If you’re not into the whole emotional intimacy thing, a casual cuffing season fling doesn’t require it, so you’re golden.
  • You’ll have a date to the office holiday party- Hold on to your cuffee until the holidays and you won’t be single at the office gathering again.
  • You don’t need to cuff yourself to just one person- Your cold-weather boo may last you all season, but it’s nice to have a backup on deck, just in case.
  • Being cuffed means you get a break from the drama of dating- When you find your temporary match, you won’t have to deal with the downsides of dating, so you get a time-out from small talk, trust issues, and heart-shattering breakups.
  • You still get plenty of “me time”- You get the perk of having someone to keep you warm and because it’s a lighthearted situation, you can both get all the guilt-free alone time you want.
