While Starbucks has a loyalty program to reward their loyal customers, the same can’t be said for smaller coffee stores, but that doesn’t mean their customers aren’t just as loyal. In fact, in one coffee shop in Australia, two customers wound up in an all-out, be it friendly, war to prove who exactly is the most loyal, and the whole thing quickly went viral on social media.
It all started when a guy named Fraser Harvey decided to declare himself the most loyal customer of Melbourne’s Sensory Lab coffee house. He did so by sticking a picture of himself on the wall with the headline “Customer of the Week,” sharing on social media, “The cafe near work doesn’t have a loyalty program so I made one for them.”
Well, customer Harriett Noall wasn’t having it and one-upped him with a framed picture declaring herself "Customer of the Week (Every Week)," which got Fraser mad. He retaliated with a larger framed photo, to which Harriett responded with a huge projection of herself on the wall. And it didn’t end there. A “furious” Fraser decided it was time to go all out, creating his own loyalty cards for the store, the “Fraser Harvey Memorial Coffee Loyalty Programme," which gave customers the treat of giving their eighth coffee to Harvey. He also created staff uniforms, which were T-shirts with his photo that said “#1 Customer Fraser.”
At this point Fraser thought he had clearly won the battle of the most loyal customer, until Harriett got the last laugh, revealing that she got a tattoo of Sensory Lab’s logo on her torso. Even Fraser new he was beat, sharing, “I may have just lost. She’s upped the game.”Check out the photos below, and click the link for the full story.
