Lots of people say they’re totally happy, but let’s face it – many MORE of us are trying to figure out how TF to make it happen! So what do you do when you’re trying to find the answer to something? If you’re smart, you go to the experts (not the ones you find on Google).
Here’s some of the answers they got:
- Keep a gratitude journal- You don’t only have to be thankful on Thanksgiving. Give yourself 10-15 minutes each day to really reflect on what you’re happy about.
- Celebrate you– When you’re frustrated, it’s hard to remember your awesomeness.It’s time to turn up!
- Focus on your strengths- When you’re good at stuff, it’ll make you happy. Think about when you won the national spelling bee...spelling is your thing!
- Look for the good in things- There’s ALWAYS a silver lining in every situation. Think about that time you ripped your pants while running for the train...you had to get a new pair, BUT you made it on time for your interview.
- Meditation- Breathe in...breathe out. Do that for a good 10/15-minutes, and you’ll be in a super chill mood. Low stress = happiness.
- Exercise- According to researchers, a 15-minute run will determine how happy you’ll be. Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Go for a jog…hell, at least a walk. GET SOME AIR.
- Choose your friends wisely- You’re the company you keep. Keep unhappy peeps around, and guess what? You’ll be unhappy, too!
- Find your life purpose- There’s something super gratifying about knowing what you’re on this earth to do. When you find out that you’re the connectorand live in that, betta believe you’ll be happy.
- Believe that you have the power to change your life- If you’re not happy, you can change that. Find out why, and make it better.
- Have an open mind- Being open to skydiving can be that one thing that brings you the most happiness.
Bottom line? Happiness is right around the corner…if you clear out the junk and make it happen.
