Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau's Wedding Was Fake
We told you before that popular YouTubers Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau [[Tan-uh Mojo]] got hitched. MTV cameras rolled for Tana's reality show "Tana Turns 21" as the two Internet stars said “I do” at a star-studded rager in Las Vegas. That, and the $50 live stream of the spectacle, had fans and even Jake’s own brother Logan thinking the nuptials were bogus. Well, it turns out they’re not wrong!
Mongeau’s latest YouTube video features the Internet star doing her makeup on her wedding day, and as the title suggests, she really does get to “the truth about everything.” Mongeau admits that she and Jake aren’t legally married, and that she’s not sure how long their “marriage” is going to last, saying, “we’re taking it day by day.”
But, she insists that the relationship is real – they just didn’t want to do things the traditional way. “I’m getting accused of only marrying Jake because of the reality show which is obviously a very valid claim… [but] it’s real,” she says in the video. “Yes, we hype things up for the camera and we rush and do crazy things, but this all started with us hooking up at his house off camera… I intended to keep [the relationship] off-camera.”
