Breakups are hard to get through, especially if you had to pull the plug because your boo was snooping around.
This is where good friends come in to save the day with a text like:
- "I Love You"- Please share this!
- “Pack Your Gym Bag. I’ve Got A Surprise For You After Work”- Founder of Text Weapon Claudia Cox says, "Save your friend from herself by inviting her to a spin class, a barre class, or an urban training session."
- "Let's Try To Stay Off Social Media, OKAY?"- "If someone is struggling through a breakup and fixated on their ex, staying actively engaged in the relationship through social media will make it harder to move forward," explains clinical psychologist Dr. Cortney Warren.
- “Just Wanted You To Know That I’m Thinking About You"- They need to know you feel this way.
- "Things Might Suck Right Now, But Everything Is Going To Be Okay"- “Reassure your friend that they’re wonderful and things will get better," says Claudia.
- "Anything You Want To Do, Let's Do It" - Relationship therapistAimee Hartstein explains, "You should follow your friend’s lead.”
- “It’s Okay To Be Sad"- "Sending this text to a friend who has a hard time opening up is a great way to validate their feelings as in, 'yes it is okay to feel miserable'," Claudia says.
- "I’m Always Here For You To Listen Or Help However I Can”- This is helpful because they’re feeling alone right now.
- “Stay Strong. You Won’t Always Feel This Way. Better Times Are Ahead”- Claudia says, "Remind your friend that heartache doesn’t last forever, and they’ll feel better at some point.”
You’ll be surprised what one-text will do.
