Planning for your wedding is a big deal, and it’s no secret that some people have been dreaming about the big day for years. Well, a new poll reveals just how long some people have been picturing themselves on their wedding day, and believe it or not, it’s not just women who’ve been dreaming about it.
A new survey finds that 70% of married folks had an idea of what they wanted their wedding to look like even before they ever met the person who’d be their spouse. And shockingly, it seems men were 8% more likely to have thought about how their wedding would look while dating someone.
And while you always hear stories of girls dreaming about their wedding since they were a child, the survey finds that overall, the average person really starts seriously thinking about their wedding when turn 21, although women are more likely to start at 19, while men will start at 23.
Now actually planning the big day isn’t always easy. While 40% say planning their wedding was “exciting,” and another 39% described it as “memorable,” 34% described it as "stressful," while 31% said it was “overwhelming” and 28% said it was “financially draining.”
