It's time for the Kermit we have known for years to retire his voice as the famous Muppet - and a new voice has already been chosen to step into the role as Kermit!
The Hollywood Reporter says Steve Whitmire left his role as the voice of Kermit, and he has been in that role since the Muppets creator Jim Henson's death in 1990.
So Steve has been Kermit for 27 years!
It has also been reported that longtime Muppets performer Matt Vogel will be taking over the role of Kermit. But there has been no comment on the transition from Disney, who owns Muppets Studio.
Do you think we'll be able to tell that the voice is different?! Cray cray!
