Dog Tests Positive for Coronavirus in Hong Kong

CHINA-HEALTH-VIRUS

A dog from Hong Kong has tested positive for the coronavirus COVID-19, government officials said on Friday, potentially contracting the virus from its owner.

Officials are, however, unsure if the dog is actually infected or the dog was just carrying the virus in its mouth. Currently, there is no evidence that pets can be infected with COVID-19, but you could get infected from a dog carrying the virus.

The dog is being quarantined and will remain until further tests come back negative.
