The Top Tens compiled a list of the "best pop artists of all time," measuring the way certain performers have "pushed boundaries" and made an impact on pop culture.

The legendary singer who was named the best to ever do it got his start as a child in his brothers' musical group the Jackson 5 in the 1960s and went on to become one of the biggest musicians of all time through his solo career, climbing to the top of the charts again and again with hits like "Thriller," "Beat It" and "Billie Jean."
