"I just feel like, if r&b literally means rhythm and blues, and blues is a derivative of jazz... what does that mean? Every song has a rhythm... I just feel like the lines are really blurred and nothing is really definitive" Mariah says about being boxed in to just r&b.
"As a black woman, the colorism conversation gets crazy. A lot of times, the energy is directed to someone who is on your side. It's not right to discredit me or have a built animosity on me when you don't even know my stance on it [light-skinned comments]." Mariah says about the colorism comments against her.
