Former WWE chairman Vince McMahon was reportedly involved in a serious car crash in Connecticut last week, TMZ Sports reported on Tuesday (July 29).
McMahon, 79, reportedly smashed his 2024 Bentley into a 2023 BMW 430 before colliding with a median guardrail, while a third vehicle, a Ford Fusion driving in the opposite direction, was struck by debris from the crash. Facebook user Barbara Doran identified herself as the driver of the BMW, claiming she was on her way to a ferry traveling to Martha's Vineyard.
No major injuries were reported in the crash, however, McMahon was reportedly cited for a reckless driving misdemeanor offense. Photos taken at the scene showed serious damage to McMahon's Bentley, which had its airbag deployed after the crash.
The accident was reported to have taken place last Thursday (July 24), the same day that WWE Hall of Famer Terry 'Hulk Hogan' Bollea died at the age of 71.
“His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled — and made him the consummate performer. He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved," a statement shared on McMahon's X account regarding Hogan's death states. “He leaves us with one of his favorite expressions, ‘Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.’ Today, we pray for him.”
McMahon is scheduled to appear in court in August, according to TMZ Sports.
