Shakira was dancing to her new single at a club in Miami, Florida over the weekend when an extremely inappropriate fan allegedly started filming up her dress.
According to NME, the "She Wolf" icon was shaking her hips atop an elevated surface when she noticed the audience member filming her in bad taste. She immediately exited the stage in disgust as fellow artists, including Anitta, attempted to comfort her.
Video footage obtained by a club-goer depicts the dazzling Columbian songstress showing off her signature moves when she stops to make sure a fan isn't filming under her dress. She keeps dancing until she's sure the person is inappropriately filming, and promptly walks off stage as not to entertain the "gross" behavior.
Fans took to the comment section of the post in support of the "Hips Don't Lie" legend stating, "That’s truly disappointing behavior. Artists deserve respect and privacy, both on and off stage. It’s crucial to ensure a safe environment for everyone," and "That’s just beyond gross. Shakira had every right to walk off, no one should have to deal with that kind of disrespect, especially when she’s just out there performing her music. People need to learn how to act with basic decency!"
Others were quick to point out that Shakira was on an elevated surface, so it might've just been the angle. Regardless, the beloved hitmaker and mother-of-two was doing what she felt was best for her in the moment.
