Atlanta Suburb is One of the Fastest Growing Dog-Friendly Cities in the US

For most dog owners, their four-legged friends are part of the family, which means their happiness is often taken into account when the owner is deciding where to live. While dogs can certainly be happy anywhere, there are some parts of the country that are more dog-friendly than others, and it turns out there are some new cities emerging that are just perfect for folks’ furbabies.

  • A new report by Zillow & Rover reveals that 72% of dog parents say they would be open to moving to a home that’s better suited for their dog’s needs.
  • 72% of dog parents say it’s important to live in a city with lots of other dog owners, dog parks and pet-friendly rentals.
  • 87% of dog owners are willing to spend more buying a home with pet-friendly features.
  • 61% say their dog’s happiness and well-being inspired them to move.
  • With that in mind, the companies have come out a list of the Fastest Growing Dog-Friendly Cities in the U.S.
  • They came up with their results by comparing Rover’s database of pet profiles, with Zillow page views of pet-friendly single-family home rental listings.
  • Antioch, Tennessee, near Nashville tops the list, with the largest increase in Rover accounts, combined with a 62.2% increase in pet-friendly, single family rental units.
