YE MAY BE PLEADING, BUT IT'S A "NO" FROM KIM K.
Kim Kardashian is trying her best to be respectful of Kanye West’s feelings as they navigate their divorce. But he’s not making it easy. He was on-stage begging his soon-to-be ex-wife to “run right back to [him]” during the “Free Larry Hoover” concert. She was there with their children, eight-year-old North and six-year-old Saint, in addition to her mother and sister, Kris and Kendall Jenner.
According to an insider, the reality star is aware of the rapper’s state of mind but ignores it. In fact, she’s moved on but knows that he’s is having a hard time with it. “She isn't surprised that he pleads in public for her to run back to him. She is just trying to be respectful about it,” the source shared.
But the concert incident was the last straw for Kim. She was so embarrassed by Ye’s plea that she called her lawyer,Laura Wassar, who filed paperwork to declare her legally single. She also wants to drop the “West” name. “She didn’t see any other choice,” an insider shared. “Kanye is not only upsetting Kim and her family, but he is confusing their children with the things he is saying. Her kids are getting older and beginning to understand what he’s saying and what is going on.”

Taylor Swift may be riding high on everyone's excitement over her latest album, but she's about to go to trial.
Accusations were made that lyrics in "Shake It Off" were taken from a 2000 3LW song "Playas Gon' Play" which has the lyrics, "playas, they gon' play" and "haters, they gonna hate."
The copyright lawsuit was originally filed back in 2017. It was thrown away in 2018 as a judge said the lyrics "too banal" to be copyrighted. But the writers of the 3LW song, Sean Hall and Nathan Butler, appealed the case. The decision was reversed by a court in 2019, who said their complaint "still plausibly alleged originality."
The judge who originally tossed the case, Judge Michael Fitzgerald, now says that there is a "possibility that there is still a genuine dispute as to the potential substantial similarity between the lyrics and their sequential structure." He denied Tay's request to dismiss the case again.
A date has not yet been set for when this case will go to a jury.
Tay's lawyer, Peter Anderson, did not respond for a request from "BuzzFeed News" for a comment. But Hall and Butler's lawyer, Marina Bogorad, did send a statement, saying that the new ruling "reinforces the notion that their unique self-expression based on the deeply rooted cultural heritage cannot be simply snatched away without proper attribution. We are pleased that the court refused to engage into a battle of the experts, especially given that defendants’ resources vastly outweigh those of our clients here, and it is about time that justice should serve the merits rather than deep pockets."
