Emilee Player posted a family photo from her step-daughter’s soccer game, she had no idea it would go viral. The photo was of her husband, step-daughter, Maelyn, and Maelyn’s mom and step father. And the two co-parenting couples were wearing jerseys that read "step-mom," "daddy," "mommy" and "step dad" across the back.
"Because of us, I will never believe co-parenting can't work! I KNOW through experience it CAN WORK! Choose to do what's best for your child and everything will just fall into place."
The post about the blended family from Columbus, Georgia has been shared over 83,000 times and has gotten thousands of positive comments about co-parenting. Maelyn’s co-parents credit their amicable relationship to being mature and putting aside their own insecurities. And this picture shows it’s working.
